HEhe. I suck. I was the one who first posted this thread a while back, and guess when I registered for the event? Yes, today. LOL.   Cat2 XC 40-42. Will of course be riding my 38 pound 9:zero:7 fatbike again in silent protest against the repeat offender Cat1 sandbaggers.

Only problem last year was the limited gearing I had on tap: 32/22 up front with a 17t cog in back—only slightly better than a singlespeed—30th out of 68 was my result since I ran out of revs on the flats and had to hike a couple of the climbs. This time around I’ll have a full 11-34 range out back available, hoping to see maybe 8 places better finishing than 2012. I know I’ll suck on the flat level paved surfaces, but on the gravelly stuff and steep uphill sections it’ll be nice to be passing people.
