    New to this SOC

If I go to SOC for a day (Friday), just to look around, see some new product, pimp for some swag, should I bring my bike? Is there some riding to be done (non-competitive)?

    TIA

F Yeah! If you go to a bike centric event like this, you simply must bring a bike and ride. Do a lap around the XC course early. Or better yet, hit up Intense for a demo sled. (this will go better if you leave your ID & bike while you're out)

There's other riding to be had at El Toro across the highway from Ft Ord, & Fort Ord is quite a large expanse itself. I have relatives that live in the area, & plan to do some exploring while there.

Bike yes, riding yes. Finding the XC course is easy...

So is the xc course open to riding when there is no racing scheduled during the weekend?
Or do they only allow reg'd racers with number plates?

i think you should be fine cruising around the xc trails without a license plate.
