    New Racing Classes

DH rider here. I finished the middle of the pack in my age class in Sport last year. Now with the new cycling categories, should a Sport rider race in Cat 2 or Cat 3? I hear Expert riders will possibly populate Cat 2 which should push me down a bit. Otoh, while I though I wouldn't mind a podium (not likely anyhow), I don't want to sandbag in Cat 3.

    Thoughts?

    ^ Lame!

If you can bust tricks and "style points" off of the jumps you should be Cat 1. Seriously people.

I raced Sport last year and will be sticking with Cat 2. Though I finally have a decent bike for racing DH and don't have to use my trail/xc bike anymore so hopefully going to do better this year. Finished mid-pack in sport last year on that bike.
Thank you Lord for strength, endurance, and salvation.
