It's that time again, and we've been gearing up for the Sea Otter Classic in Monterey in a couple of weeks - April 14 -17 (Thurs-Sun). MTBR and RoadBikeReview will have a booth once again this year, on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
The booth is located in the same area as last year, spots #402-406 located to the left of the main stage. And of course, we'll be running the Biggest Prize Raffle at the Sea Otter! There will be a raffle on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Raffle times are 4pm on Friday, 4pm on Saturday, and 2pm on Sunday (subject to change).
More info on the Raffle here:
We Need Your Help!
Please help us by manning our booth for a couple of hours. The main function of manning the booth is:
1.) meet and greet people and tell them about the site, if they don't know about us
2.) if they do know about MTBR, ask what their favorite section of the site is, and what they like or dislike
3.) hand out free MTBR stickers/sponsor info
4.) let them know about the raffle (must be present at the raffle to claim prize)
5.) make sure the swag, stickers, and collateral don't get blown away (or go otherwise missing)
It's not hard work, and it's a good way to meet other MTBR members and fellow mountain biking enthusiasts! And, if you're around at raffle time, it's totally EXCITING!!
Shifts are 2 hours (you can definitely sign up for more, if you'd like!) and run at the following times:
Thursday: noon-2pm, 2pm -4pm
Friday: 9am-11am, 11am-1pm, 1pm-3pm, 3pm-5pm
Saturday: 9am-11am, 11am-1pm, 1pm-3pm, 3pm-5pm
Sunday: 9am-11am, 11am-1pm, 1pm-3pm
>>Volunteers will receive an MTBR T-shirt and two free tickets for the raffle
Again, this year, in addition to the usual booth duty help, we have need of:
-photographers to help cover race coverage, and upload to our photo gallery
-bloggers/writers to write up reports on new products/bikes, racers/interviews, and other cycling industry news or stories
To volunteer, PM me, reply here, or email me: greggATmtbr.com (replace the AT with @)
Thanks for your help, hope to see you there!
-gregg, francis, thien, derek, forrest and photo-john
(heck, even if you don't sign up to help out, stop by the booth and say "Hi, I'm 'so and so' from the Forums")
