It's that time again, and we've been gearing up for the Sea Otter Classic in Monterey next week (already!) April 16 (Thurs) - 19 (Sun). MTBR and RoadBikeReview will have a booth once again this year, on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
The booth is located in the same spot as the last 6 years, in the area between the Team area and the Marketplace (booth number 413-417). And of course, we'll be running the Biggest Prize Raffle at the Sea Otter! There will be a raffle on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Raffle times are 4pm on Friday, 4pm on Saturday, and 2pm on Sunday (subject to change).
More info on the Raffle here:
We Need Your Help!
Please help us by manning our booth for a couple of hours. The main function of manning the booth is:
1.) meet and greet people and tell them about the site, if they don't know about us
2.) if they do know about MTBR, ask what their favorite section of the site is, and what they like or dislike
3.) hand out free MTBR stickers
4.) let them know about the raffle, and have them purchase a raffle ticket
5.) make sure the laptops, swag, stickers, and postcards don't get blown away (or go otherwise missing)
It's not hard work, and it's a good way to meet other MTBR members and fellow mountain biking enthusiasts! And, if you're around at raffle time, it's totally EXCITING!!
Shifts are 2 hours (you can definitely sign up for more, if you'd like!) and run at the following times:
Thursday: noon-2pm, 2pm -4pm
Friday: 8am-10am, 10am-12noon, 12noon-2pm, 2pm-4pm
Saturday: 8am-10am, 10am-12noon, 12noon-2pm, 2pm-4pm
Sunday: 8am-10am, 10am-12noon, 12noon-2pm
>>To sign up, just email me at: greggATmtbr.com (change the "AT" to @ if you cut and paste this)
>>And put the words "Sea Otter Volunteer" in the subject line!
>>Volunteers will receive their chose of Mtbr t-shirt or Mtbr beer/soda glass and 1 free raffle ticket.
Thanks for your help, hope to see you there!
-gregg, francis, and the mtbr crew
(heck, even if you don't sign up to help out, stop by the booth and say "Hi, I'm 'so and so' from the Forums")
