    that bike looks super familiar!

a terrible photo... with it not being in it's natural habitat... but oh well...

    same bike, a '12 26" spark 30

changed my brakes over to XT, shifters over to i-spec mounted XT also... a set of "pro xcr" flat carbon bars with some ritchey foam grips, a -6deg 100mm 3T alloy stem and a bontrager xXx carbon seatpost...

Nothing better on a Monday morning then seeing all these sweet Sparks. Makes me wish I was on mine right now. Had a great night ride on mine yesterday, and looking forward to more this fall/winter season. Ride on Spark owners, ride on!

That's exactly the plan ! Ready to drop the coin on a new wheel set but not exactly sure what I want.... Pretty close to pulling the trigger on a set of crest's tho... Stan's hubs.... Seems like the affordable lightweight option. Unless you have a better idea?

Crest is nice option (my future rims). The hubs is good question. It depends on the conditions where you ride and budget. My wheels are built on:
    - rear: Hope Pro 2 (rear as very strong and reliable)
    - front: Soul Kozak (Polish product, light (100g) but not as good as Hope)
    - spokes: DT Revolution
    - nipples: front DT alu/rear DT brass
    - rims: Mavic XC 717 Disc
    Weight: 1501g

Any other suggestions on a lighter rim that won't break the bank? I want to get a second set so I can put some slick on the original set for when I ride on pavement. Thoughts?

... thinking i'm going to go with stans pre-built wheels....

because it's easy... and i'm i've been out of the game too long to really know exactly what hubs are going to suit me...

so looking a the ztr/stans stock crest wheels...

not sure what spokes they are, just says 1.5/2.0 stainless...

with a total weight for both wheels at 1440g, would consider that a pretty substantial upgrade to the wheels on it now...

    Spark 2013 ? or Genius 2013 ?
    Hello guys,

need help to choose between the Spark and the Genius.
To enter competitions like this one

    youtube/watch?v=nsAvXOlGHG4

I know Spark is more Race and Genius is more Trail. but what do you guys think ?
Because competitions like this have a lot of Single Tracks where Genius maybe run better than Spark, i dont know. I appreciate any help ! Thanks

I'd say that course is very in line with the Spark. The Spark can be used on trails quite a bit more aggressive than what's in that video. The Genius would just be extra weight for no reason on that trail. The Spark is made for slaying singletrack like that.

Agreed. I ride the hell out of my Spark 29er. It has no problem flying over tabletops while most other XC boys roll over them

Here's my Spark Pro. My LBS wanted to make room for the 2013, so they sold it to me for $800.00 off. Did my first ride over the weekend.

I really like the High/Low setting and the "traction control" is great on steep climbs.

You really need to clean that lens, and quit using it to blow your nose with.

Oh, and what shock do you have on there?

Its just some filter I used on my camera phone (Instagram). Notice how the blurriness happens to clear up right where you see the bike? I'm not sure how I could blow my nose with a camera lens either.

    OEM shock, Scott Nude.
