Love the rc! I have a 2015 900RC. Are the I9s noticeably stiffer wheels? The rims are the only thing I want to change on mine. Kind of flexy. I like the hubs though.

I like the I9's for sure; but the Synros Carbon wheelset are also a great option. I have the carbon Syncros wheels on my Spark 700 and they seem just a bit stiffer.

First ride for me was a race this past Sunday. Turns out that wasn't that great of a plan, which mirrors my not that great of a training plan.

I've got some fit stuff to square away before I can really start putting my head down and getting after it, but overall, it's not the bikes fault I'm fat and slow.

My new spark 710. I just got into mountain biking and my first bike was a trek 3700.
One problem I'm having is that I feel like I have to lean forward a lot to reach the handle bars. The trek has a much more upright riding position with more spacers and a positive stem.
Would changing the spark's stem help. It's 90 mm so I was thinking change to 50mm. I moved the seat forward a bit and I think that helped.
It's a large frame and I'm 5'11. I rode a medium and it felt a bit small. Only one ride on the large so far though
I'm very new and any advice would be appreciated.

Shorter stem, a straight (no offset) seatpost and some riser bars would certainly change it up, get you more comfy.

Looking at getting a new bike, was thinking more along the Genius line but the bike shop has a demo Spark 750, thats never been demo'd, its a late 2014 frame with 2015 components according the shop, I ride a XL frame an this is the only XL they have in stock, so was going to go check it out, he quoted me $1999 over the phone, even though its still new its fixing to be 3yrs old, its a 27.5 version, guess what I"m wondering is if this is a good deal or should I look at paying more an getting something newer, was needing to stay at $2300 or less, the other bike I"m looking at is a 2016 Giant Trance 2 for $2399 cause the manager is giving me a 10% discount on.
    Thanks
