Scott Scale RC 29er - Saddle/Bar height relationship?

So after much deliberation I decided to buy a Large rather than a Medium Scale RC 29er (I'm 180cm/5'11" tall).
Everything is great but I can't get the saddle/bar drop that I have on my medium Spark 10 - even with the stem slammed the bars are only 1cm lower than the saddle rather than the 5-6 cms that I was fitted with on the Spark! Actually feels very comfortable but I'm wondering is it likely to be a less efficient position or adversely affect the bike handling? Anyone got any thoughts?

I'm faster overall, and just as fast downhill on my 29er HT than I am on my 26er Anthem X. Similar fit situation; only 1-2cm of drop as opposed to 4cm on my FS.

That said, I'll be getting a Syntace FlatForce stem and -5mm bars shorlty.
