Scott MTB Team Boa shoe question

I am looking a purchasing new MTB shoes, and have spent some time looking at trying Boa lacing over traditional straps. My only concern is I like to have the strap by my ankle extremely tight, and the strap across my metatarsal loose. I need to have the strap across my metatarsal loose due to foot pain. I am wondering how tight the Boa strap will be across the metatarsal area of my foot.

I was actually just looking at these last night myself... for the price I don't think you can find a BOA system shoe for cheaper.

Have you tried calling around the local shops to see if anyone has any in stock you could try on? If you have foot pain/issues I would say that would be your best bet before making a purchase.

I just got these. The tightening is pretty even across the Boa laces. If it's tight on top it will be tight in the middle. The part where the Velcro strap is will be the only part that will feel different according to how tight you put it. Hope that description helps.

I have the team boa's and probably would not buy them again. The outside material is not very durable.

DirtyPhillm if you look at the sock lining, the inset comes with adjustable wedges for arch support and metatarsal support. This can be removed if you need to relieve some pressure. I think you'll be very happy with these shoes.
