    Scott MTB 2015

Here a brief overview of what to expect from the Scott 2015 models, as presented in Davos (Switzerland) earlier this week.

With Google Translate you can translate from German to English

Perhaps the biggest news is a Scott Spark 700 XTR Di2 - the only Di2 model to be released :

I hope Scott presents a new Scale frame.
In last 4 years they have only changed the color design and the wheel size.

That would you be looking for in a redesigned frame? XC hardtails aren't exactly rife with options

Interesting thread. Thanks for starting it.

I don't understand some of the things this company does. There are too few authorized dealers, and Scott finishes and graphics just keep getting worse.

Compare the paint and graphics on the flat black 2015 Scott Genius LT with the gloss black 2011 Scott Scale 899 team bike:

Hey does anyone have any idea why only the 27.5" Spark has Di2 and not the 29"?

More here flowmountainbike.com and here bicycling.co.za.

The Spark will be available in both wheels sizes while the Ultimate (XTR Di2) will be 27.5” only. This, Scott say, is due to the fin (that houses the battery) reducing space towards the front triangle, not allowing sufficient space for a large water bottle on the 29er version.

Huh. So the Di2 battery is housed in a specially designed fin on the top tube… I can't tell from the pictures if this is fully enclosed or there is a way to open the fin? Else how does one replace the battery if need be? Also, I'm not exactly sure how the fitting works with iCTD. I'm disappointed that neither seems retrofittable on my existing SL700, even though being able to get rid of most of the wires from that jungle of wires up front is a very appealing proposition…

I'm really digging the Spark 900RC. Also I can't wait to see the specs on the Genius 900 Tuned.

As in the previous years, the SL models should be all black. The new SL and RC models look practically the same. There's no option for those of us who prefer conservative colors.

If anyone knows where I can still get a 2014 Scale 900 SL frame (size M), please let me know.
