I have a 2013 Scott Genius 740 with the IDS-SL interchangeable rear dropout system. It is currently set up with the stock 135x5 DT RWS skewer but I bought the 142x12 IDS dropouts and bought a wheelset with a 142x12 axle rear wheel. My question is what axle should I be using? I understand there are two different axle standards. The Shimano standard that is used in the RockShox Maxle and the X-12 standard. I believe the X-12 uses a tapered interface with the dropouts and the Maxle has a flat interface. It appears that my dropouts are flat...should I just use a Maxle or does DT make an axle that I should use?
