I currently am riding/racing a 2013 Scale 960 I got new last fall. One of my good riding buddies has a 2012 Spark 29 Expert that he will be selling (early) this fall to get a 2014 Spark 910. He told me that he would sell me his 2012 Expert for a super deal if I wanted. He has had it since spring 2012, has approximately 500 miles on it now, about 10 races on it, the rest of the miles are trail miles. He is a hammerhead and fast, but he is light. I wasn't planning on upgrading since I just doled out the $$ for the new Scale this model year, but this may be a deal I can't pass up to get into carbon full suspension for aluminum hardtail price. He is meticulous about everything, the bike is in excellent condition.
What advice does anyone have for me? Is his Expert used up? Just getting started? Would you guys go for something like this? I love my Scale, but the thought of getting to the Spark level of bike is very tempting even if it's a year older and has more miles on it.
Thanks in advance.
