    Scale 710 - XX1

    Hi.

I'm installing an xx1 group on a scalew 710 frame, with dt xr1501 wheels.

I have a small problem with the cassette, on the smallest cog, the chain rubs against the frame, how can I fix this?

Hmm bit of a worry as I am about to get my LBS to do exactly the same with the same wheels! I'll post here if they have any problems.

    Hi Ryder.

Thanks, I really hope that it's me, doing something wrong...

Me too By the way is your scale this year's or the limited edition 2013 model? Mine is the latter with xr 2 wheels. Could not believe it when I realised the wheelset weighs more than the Arch ex on my other bike!

My Scale, is this years model in carbon :-) My xr1501 wheels weigh 1510, so quite close to the claimed weight.

I have solved my problem, I removed the cassette again and reinstalled it, and now it fits fine

Phew that's a relief. My wheels arrived yesterday, just waiting for the rest of the stuff to arrive at the LBS now. Hope you enjoy the XX1

I'm still waiting to enjoy it, waiting to install the brakes and grips, so hopefully it will be ready for the weekend.

    Scale 710 - XX1

What are impressions of the 710? Considering moving to this bike, looks like a good build for the money too. It would seem the oem wheel weights are reasonable too? If I switch I want something ready to go. Switch to 1x and tubeless but otherwise don't wanna spend much on upgrades.

Love mine! Is it the limeted run from last year so spec not the same. My wheels are xr2 that are heavier than my arch ex on hope pro Evo hubs from my other bike so I am changing them.

I tried a lot do 29r hard tails but coming from years of 26 just did not like the feel of them. As soon as I tried the 710 I was sold..

    Scale 710 - XX1

It seems the new models also have the same wheels right? So by the looks of it a wheelset would be a worthwhile upgrade...

Yes spec looks identical to last years. Like the OP mine is getting the DT swiss spline 1 wheels and XX1 at the same time so I will not be able to give a direct comparison but will post my thoughts once I have ridden it.
