    Pivot issues on Spark/Genius

    Hi guys,

Just want to know if current owners of Spark/Genius models have had any reliability issues with the pivot hardware. I'm considering purchasing a Spark and would like to know the ease of maintenance and the amount of work required to keep the pivots running smooth.

I understand the pivot above the rear axle is a bushing while all the others are bearings. Any issues with the rear bushing?

I do 90% of the maintanence on my bikes myself and just want to know what is required on these bikes.

    Thanks.

No issues here and I've never heard of any. The dropout bush is made by IGUS - if you look them they seem to be at the top of their game. I do know for really wet conditions, Scott offer a catridge bearing swap-out for the bush.
