Ordered eBay Climax carbon 34.9 post for Scale 29 HT

$88 and being delivered on the slow boat from China (or near there), a black 34.9 carbon Climax post with a low weight and good durability reports from the few I read. Could be a $88 lesson, hope not. Was running a 193g Thomson Masterpiece in a 53g shim and it has not been perfect in terms of staying put no matter what I do including roughing up the shim's internal surface. I'd rate it at 95% perfect, but for $88 I'll experiment and see if a 34.9 does the job. Hoping a Thomson lower rail cradle will fit.

What should the weight on the new post be? I've been looking for a lighter one.

34.9 is 155 grams +/- 10 grams: Climax 145g Full Carbon SP02B Road MTB Bike Seatpost 34 9mm TI Bolt Black | eBay

Scale readings of the 27.2 show the post being at claimed weight.

Showed up in about 6 business days. My camera is too crappy to get an up close shot of the scale, but the post with all hardware is 149 grams in a 34.9x350mm

They wrote it would be 155g give or take 10 grams: Climax 145g Full Carbon SP02B Road MTB Bike Seatpost 34 9mm TI Bolt Black | eBay

Westin- I sent an email too, old thread, not sure what info is still correct.
Did the Thomson lower fit on the climax? I'm thinking of doing the same type of thing.
    Thanks, Dave.
