OK, so if I have a 2013 Scott Genius 930 (29er), what size Fox rear shock would I need? I am seeing the whole 29er and 650b back and forth conversations since the beginning of this thread and have become thoroughly confused now... I just want to make absolutely sure that if I pull the trigger I am buying the correct shock... Ideally would like the Float X CTD, but would be fine with a lesser model depending on budget.
My searching for DT Swiss support for seal kits or maintenance instructions have become more frustrating than they are worth, so this is my next best option.
    Thanks for any input!

this email is from fox sometimes last year when i asked the same question of them for my 2013 genius 910. i ended up going with the cane creek db air cs but the float x looks awesome too.

With that bike you can fit any of our air rear shocks. As far as remote goes you can get either the FLOAT CTD Remote at $470.00, or you can get the FLOAT X for $595.00. The price for both of these is without the remote. The size of that shock is 7.5” x 2.0”.

Hi guys, I'm looking to do this swap on my 710 (2013). Sorry to beat a dead horse here, but can you confirm the shock hardware size and shock length? The Scott manual for the 2013 Genius shows 6x22.2 hardware and 200x55 shock length (which probably translates to 200x57 (7.875 x 2.25) for the Fox CTD), but the thread seems to say 8x22 is the size.

Where's a good source for the hardware?

    TIA.

Here's a screenshot from the manual:

Interesting, I wonder if the carbon vs aluminum frames have different spacing then? The manual I picked up that information from seemed to cover both versions, however. Thanks for the tip for jensons!

Contact fox (or cane Creek etc) and they'll tell you which shock fits.

Anyone else considering the Cane Creek Inline?

The reviews seem to be pretty favorable on Cane Creek's new DB Inline shock and seeing how its the only Cane Creek model that will fit my 940 Genius, any opinions?

i might have gotten that for my 910 had it been out. ive heard that unless youre doing extended downhill runs, the piggyback isn't a bonus. couldnt be happier with my CC DB Air CS as it completely transformed my genius and made it ride how i hoped it would out of the box but like i said, the inline wasnt an option at the time.

Do you know how many sets of 8x22mm bushings are needed? 2? One for the piston side and one for the Chamber side?

If you take a look at the Genius 2013 Owner's Manual it shows that Genuis 700 and Genuis 900 are different regarding the size of the shock

    http://assets.scott-sports.com.s3.am..._Genius_EN.pdf

    I bought the 7.5 x 2.0 (190mmx50mm) because I have 900 Frame.

Anyone run into any issues with a 2014 or 2015 Fox Float CTD on a 2013 Scott Genius 940 (size 190mm x 50 mm)? Scott still won't provide any details when I contact them. I want to make this switch this summer. Otherwise, I will have to spend the money on an CC inline...
