    2013 vs 2014 910

ok, so i actually found a 910 in xl but it's a 2013. big pic, not a big deal to me. the biggest difference i can seem to come up with of '13 vs '14 is the rear shock. it's $3600 which from looking all over the freakin' country seems like a pretty darn good deal.

can anyone give me a reason why i may not want a 2013?

any help would be greatly appreciated, if it's a good deal i want to snag it asap.

    thank you

The DT shock is terrible, but that's a good enough deal you could upgrade.

Other than the shock I believe they are the same. Are both triple cranksets?

best i can figure out via spec sheets is they are both doubles.

do you think i could put the fox nude on a '13 frame? the shock that is on the '15?

You can put any inline 190x51 shock on it. The Fox nude is an improvement but it has the same damper as a CTD Evo. It won't ride as well as a CTD boost valve or better yet a Monarch.

I have a 2013 910 and don't have an issue with the DT Swiss rear shock, personal preference. Haven't ridden many other shocks to compare it to, but the twin loc gives you good control over it, and the lock out is solid. If I had to upgrade I'd probably go with the DB Inline.

Did they change the CTD-lever on the '14?

I have a Genius 710 with Fox Nude and must say the shock is not as plush as I had hoped it would be. It certainly feels a bit less than 150mm travel. I love the bike for its climbing ability and it is a great all rounder. The shock on my Spec Enduro, also Fox, feels a lot plusher.

It is still a superb bike with a great geometry. I'd just not put it in all mountain category.
