My LBS is making room for 2013 and they offered it to me for $3,200 SRAM xo. My fear is I'm 230 and I've done plenty of research on Clyde's on carbons a part of me is fearful of breaking the frame. My LBS stated they wouldn't want me on anything else.

I have a Scott road bike that I absolutely love. Adding this for my mtb would be perfect. Am I just worry over nothing? And their price seems more than fair(?)

    Thanks.

I wouldn't be overly concerned about the frame. I would say the wheelset would be the biggest concern, as it is kinda racy. However, as long as you keep an eye on it staying true, it should be fine. Perhaps a wheel swap to something more clyde-ish would be in the future, but beyond that, I'd say go for it.

I don't want to jack your thread, but whats this bike weigh? also, I think the stock wheelset is around 1900gr so I wouldn't worry to much unless they are known for being weak.

I've had the 2012 Spark Expert since February, and have at least 1,000 miles on it with no problems, and I weigh 245.

That's a great deal, only $200 more than what I paid for mine!

I wouldn't worry about the frame, Scott warranties them for five years to the original owner.

Loving it! Couldn't have asked for a better setup. I have it dialed in just right, that its the most comfortable bike I've owned to-date.

My buddy is in the market for a FS. I'm pushing the Scott. ;)

I am picking up my 2012 Spark Contessa this afternoon. I am very excited about it, as it is my first real bike I have owned. Sadly, we are butt deep in snow out here, and the bike will be sitting indoors for months. I got a smoking deal on this bike, and hope it will be good to me.
