2012 Scott Spark 29'er Pro weight?

Hey guys. I'm doing the bike debate again and I'm looking for a weight on the Scott Spark 29'er Pro. I'm looking at the superfly 100 elite but it just seems too heavy and too expensive. Plus I love that the scott has a fork/shock lockout. Let me know the weight and what you think of the decision. I'm a very active endurance racer(100 milers)/xc racer that needs a dependable bike. Is this the one? Let me know.

Anybody? Does anyone own these? Let me know as I'm trying to make the decision if I should buy one - or rather try and locate one I guess - by Jan 1st.

no one will have them yet because scott had manufacturing issues. Read the other post about spark 29er delays.
The PRO is said to weigh 24.45 pounds in the 2012 Scott catalogue.
My hardtail PRO looks awesome and weights 22 pounds even with XT 780 pedals.

The Expert model is claimed at 25.33lbs and is quite a bit cheaper than the PRO. It's a better bargain in my opinion, as long as you can live without the 142mm axle and the extra travel mode.

The stock wheels on both the Expert and the Pro are boat anchors and could be swapped out to Stan's Crests. This would save over a pound after converting to tubeless.

    Cheers!

oshaden, do you know the exact weight of the XR29's on the pro?
Thinking of going to ZTR crests but how much weight will it save because i have the stock xr29's tubeless already.?
    Thanks

This thread claims the XR 29s to be 1967g.

    DT Swiss XR-29 wheels, info?

The basic level Stan's Crest wheelset is claimed at 1575g, so that's a ~392g or 0.86lb savings. That much loss of rotational weight would probably be noticeable.

My 29er Pro Large is just a tick over 23, that's with eggbeaters and carbon bottle cages. I also swapped the aluminum seat post for the carbon from my Genius. It is a sweet ride. Now I'm jonesin for the snow to melt so I can ride
I know I'm one of the lucky ones since I just got it 2 weeks ago

10 ounces is a big tick!! and, I think he was talking about the Spark, not the scale.

If the Spark 29er is anything like the the Scott Scale 29er, it will be light and awesome. I would wait for it!

I am in thte process of building up a Spark Pro in Large right now full XTR with Sid XX fork, Enve wheels and DT 240 Hubs. Parts will be here today (fork and BB), so I will have real number for you tonight with Pics....

Just for the record I have an Elite, XTR cranks, X0 drivetrain Magura MT8's, Hope hubs laced to Arches, Rurena Scylla tires, Salsa Pro moto Carbon bars, King Headset,Thompson stem and seatpost and the 540 pedals and it weighed in at 25.10.
Honestly the only thing stock on it is the frame fork and rear shock

I went out on a trek superfly elite 100 (29er) 2012 model (LBS demo bike). Must admit an awesome ride. Medium. It was 12.05 kg with shimano 540 pedals and bottel cages on. The trek had a Schwarble Nobby nic on front and Schwarble Racing Ralph at the back.

How did you route the cable for the reverb? Can you post a picture?

    Thanks!
