2011 Aspect 40, help with getting a new set of wheels

    I have a 2011 aspect 40: First bike in 14 years... 2011 Scott aspect 40 any Mod/Upgrade Suggestions

I want to get a second set of wheels to run some 26x1.5" street tires on. I am tired switching tires out depending on the day.

Problem is I know nothing about wheels and the local shop wants like $350 to $500 for a set of wheels!

I have been looking on ebay and prices are much cheaper, I just need to know what I need to buy.

I know I need a 160mm rotor. But other then that I am lost!!!! please help me out. If you want you can even just post links to ebay wheel sets that will work, trying to stay under $200.

Here are the specs on the bike:

Almost all 26" wheels will fit as long as they have 9mm quick release hubs.
I am assuming you have Shimano brakes also (my 2013 Aspect 630 does) so you will have centrelock brake discs. You can either buy a new set of wheels with centrelock hubs or buy some with 6 bolt hubs and also replace your discs (this is what I did).
If your bike came with the stock Alex XC-44 wheelset then you may be better off using these for your skinnies and getting something with a wider internal for trail riding so you can mount some larger tyres.

I assume you are in the USA so I am not sure of where is best to get discount wheels there, but I picked up a new set of Sun Ringle Charger Experts for AUD$149.00 here in Aus off Clickbike.

Hunt around, there is always a deal to be found.
