With the new Nomad designed around a single ring and the lower link being situated differently, do you all think the Bronson will get the same treatment when it's do for an update?
Seems like SC's 27.5 line-up is pretty solid. I don't think changing the location/design of the lower link or adding internal cable routing is enough of a "sell" alone to influence the purchase of a lot of 2nd gen. Bronson type bikes. Maybe some latest and greatest VPP design improvement? Single ring only type designs for Trail/AM bike would be limiting, IMHO. I love my 1x setup, but if I lived near terrain with longer sustained ups and faster downs I'd have to consider 2x.
Completely agree. Bronson is great as is, and the possible changes they could make don't seem to be important enough to justify a complete retooling and factory changes for SC this soon. T
hey may change components. I would not be surprised if they go to the Cane Creek DB Inline shock instead of DB Air for example. Or maybe they would introduce more of their own components, as they did with the handlebar and grip they came-up with this year.
Of course they will. I bet internal routing wouldn't be too hard. When v2 comes out I hope they do the nomad style lower link, 17.0 rear end, and internal cable routing, nomad frame styling. - and veer away from the Miami vice colors. Those colors only belong at trade shows and races - not long term ownership.
I have to say the nomad design is fugkin beautiful.
That said - my Bronson is awesome as is. I can go stupid fast down, and still race xc wit lighter wheels/Tires and propedal cranked up to 4!
My guess for Bronson Mk2 is 2016. But I don't think they will drop front derailleur support, after all Shimano isn't dropping them and there are still people who want them. Unless Shimano releases a proper 1x groupset for trail/enduro folks.
