Last year I bought a 2010 Nomad with the R am package & I want to go with a new wheelset. My bike came with Mavic 321 with XT hubs, does anyone know the stock weight of these wheelset's? I would like to go with Easton Havens which are around 1650 gr. Wondering how much weight I will be saving?
I switched from Azonic Outlaws to Easton Haven's (20mm version) on my 08 Nomad. I think it saved like a pound or two? I don't know.
Just by picking up the bike, I can't really tell a weight difference, but on the trail, after a long ride when I'm tired, I notice the weight difference.
Step up and go nuts: DT Swiss EXC400 + Hadleys w/ DT DB spokes. Should be able to pull a solid pound out of your wheels before rubber. The down part, they'll cost about as much as your frame new
the 400 is a narrow rim for a nomad, i would go with the dt 500 if anything
