What would you ask for this Superlight

I finally drank the 29er coolaid and now have big wheels on both a hardtail and a brand-new Salsa Spearfish that I am picking up this weekend. So I need to try to convert my Superlight into some cash.

I got the bike in 2007, but have replaced most of the components along the way. The current build is:

Original LX shifters, crank, and front der.
    Brand new LX Rear der.
Original Fox fork has been replaced with a Talus that adjusts from 100-140 mm travel. 15mm axle.
Wheels have been upgraded to X-9 hubs with Stan's rims.
    Chris King headset.
    SLX brakes installed last December.
    Original bar, stem, and seatpost.

Bike needs a good tune-up, but I will get that done before selling. May need new bushings soon.

I was thinking it is worth at least $1,000. Any suggestions?

$1k seem optimistic for that 6/7 year old bike unless it's pristine and needs no $ put in to it.
It does have the newer brakes, newe Talas fork, and wheelset going for it.
If you find a buyer that sees value in those things you may get your $1k.
You may do better parting it out than selling it complete.
Most people want to haggle on the used market, so to get $1k you'll likely need to ask $1200.

Hadn't really thought about going that route, but not a bad idea. Only trouble is having to deal with all those different ebay (or whatever) listings. I guess I will try selling it complete first and go the parts route if that doesn't work. There is a guy here in town that has a small shop and sells some used bikes. Maybe I will give him a shot at selling it.

If he's a business man, figure on giving up the 20% as commission you would have given up with all the ebay/cl haggling. After all, if he sells your used consignment bike, he's losing a sale on one of his new models on the floor/order. Even if a purchaser wants to use his shop for some new upgrades to the bike.
Wait, who did he tell you that?....
