    Tools for bearing maintenance?

    Hello All!
I am thinking of buying a Nomad at
( ). Since it is an online shop
I would like to know whether anyone has experience in maintaining
bearings on a Santa Cruz VPP bike. Do I need special tools to
    service them?

How long do the bearings last in average conditions with wet winters
    and dry summers?

    Thank you!

SC offers a vpp bearing removal tool, get one. Your bearings should last at least a year, but keep an eye on the lowest pivot behind the BB. It has a tendency to seize onto the pivot axle if it's not pulled apart occasionally and lubed.
