Tire Rub - Blur LT 2.3

i've notice on full shock compression that i'm getting some rear tire rub.

    running a 2.3 nevegal.

    -is anyone else experiencing this?
-is this expected with a wider tire like the nevagal?

I run 2.35" nevegals in the front and use small block 8's in the back because they don't shed knob like the nevegals do. You might want to look into those. They suck for wet conditions but we rarely have rain here.

Can't say I've ever noticed that problem. I used to run a 2.3" Tioga Psycho Genius on the back. Now I have a 2.2" Maxxis Ikon.

What PSI are you running in your shock?
    The cake is a lie.

i've got is set to 25% sag. I'll have to experiment with a different tire in the rear.

Hmmm.... I noticed slight tire rub on full compression when I was running 650B in the rear, but it's never close with my 26" tires. I use a 2.25" Maxxis Crossmark in the rear on my Blur LT.

(and I'll refrain from comment on running Nevegals in the rear... don't you want something grippy and fast-rolling for a rear tire?)

This should have nothing to do with sag or PSI. Your frame should bottom out mechanically before the tire hits. If you run too much pressure you will be artificially limiting your travel, and running improper sag.

The best way to check is to remove the shock completely and compress the suspension. If your tire hits the seat tube, check to make sure your bottom-out bumper on the lower link is not damaged or worn out. If not, get a lower profile tire.

You could also go do a bunch of sweet skids to wear down your knobs a bit, or just keep riding and don't worry about it - it will wear down pretty quick anyway.
