Ti spring for NomadC and RC4

I'm going to try a DHX RC4 with my NomadC (8.5x2.5") and I'm going to buy TI spring for it. I think the original FOX steel spring is 2.80, but aftermarket TI springs are available in 2.5" or 2.75". I know that the latter one (2.75") would be a safe choice, but would 2.5" work without compromise? I'm wondering this because a shorter spring would be a bit lighter...

2.5" stroke spring is the correct spring for the 8.5x2.5" shock.

I think I've managed to jam a 3" stroke Obtainium spring on my Marz Roco WC...and still had a zero preload range.
The 2.5" spring will work fine since most non-Fox springs factor in that extra 0.2" to keep the thing from full bottom. Just check the free length and make sure it fits w/in the threaded range of the damper body. FYI, Rockshox springs tend to be a bit longer, but they're also 1.5" ID, so you'll need adapter to go from 1.43 to 1.5...and I don't know who's making any now that Obtainium left the scene.
Naysayers never apologize. Critics go to their grave thinking everyone else is wrong.

A 2.5" spring will not come out on the short side. It is the correct stroke spring for that shock. It will not bind before the shock bottoms out and there won't be any issues running it.

What setup are you guys running with RC4 on NomadC? I see that SC recommends three turns of bottom out from fully open position (or one turn back from fully closed) which seems quite a lot of bottom out resistance? I though NomadC linkage was supposed to be quite progressive? Currently I run with three clicks of HS (from fully open) and 9 clicks (mid way in the 18 click range) of LS which seems to provide good pedal efficiency for my taste.

Btw, I went with the 2.5 RCS ti spring and it works well!

    Generally:

    HSC - 4 clicks
    LSC - 7 clicks
    150 psi in the boost
    Bottom out about halfway closed
