Tallboy 2 a grand better than the Tallboy?

I can buy a Tallboy with a 142/12 rear end for 1,700. Is the Tallboy a grand better?

    Thanks,

    Jay

$1700 for a new (or lightly used) 2013 Tallboy? Do it now and don't look back.

Depends on what a warranty is worth to you. I have to assume for that price it's used.

It is a new Tallboy but has 142 rear end. Strange. Now I have to decide sizing. I am 5'11" and rode a large in Arizona and it was a big frame.

New from a dealer or new someone bought it and never rode it? Big difference.
I'm 5'11" with about a 32inch inseam, I can't see riding a medium TB. SC already tend to run small.

Yep, I've got a Superlight 29 and a Blur LT (and I've had a Tallboy) and at 5'11", it's a large for them all.

I bought a Tallboy SPX model and am thrilled. Great fit and rides great. I got a SPX model with all the goods for $3,200.00. Great bunch of parts: XT, Thomson, Easton carbon bars, DT 350 hubs, etc. Good stuff.

I was checking out the bike today and was wondering how to drop a couple pounds outside of a bunch of XTR or XX1 parts. I'm sure the DT 350 with WTB rims can be replaced to drop a bit of weight. Tough call. I love the build! Great job, SC!

Where is Tokul? Sounds interesting. Thanks for your help guys! Bike fits perfect.
