Nice! Where'd you get the stickers for your Pike?
Can you show pictures of your gripshift set up for your dropper? I can't imagine!

FYI, there is another thread for the TBLT, here:

Got the custom decals for the Pike and the Ryde rims from Slik:Slik Graphics

Gripshift operated dropper is quite simple: I removed the ratcheting spring from the left 'front' Gripshifter (not really necessary, but operates smoother) and connected the other end of the cable at the dropper, of course this only works with cable actuated dropper posts (like the Specialized Command Post). Just 'shift' the Gripshifter to actuate the dropper and release once it is in the desired position.

That's pretty cool. I was wondering if you somehow were using that along with a front derailleur shifter, (which would be quite a trick), but I see you have 1X up front.

Got my ltc about a month ago and it's just so damn sick - loving it. The seatpost I originally ordered wasn't available at the time, but I finally got it and installed it last night, so she is now compleeeeete! (p.s. anyone need a Lev DX?) Gave her a nice cleaning while I was at it so it's like she's brand new again. Here she is, posing with my other favorite inanimate object...

    highlights:
    Pike 140
    Industry 9 Trail 32
    XX1 (28 tooth)
    gripshift, biyotches!!
    XTR brakes
    Lev seatpost

With all that you want to upgrade, did you talk to the dealer about customizing up front? It usually works out cheaper that way.

Are you going to add a dropper?

They gave me 15% off accessories, but as you know you don't get anything for "trade in value" and I'm also working on some upgrades for my BearGrease, so it's based upon priority.

As far as a dropper, I had the new Thomson Covert dropper, but neither the shop (or I) could get it function properly, so it went back. No biggie, I've been riding without a dropper for a billion years, a couple more months won't matter.

    New tallboy build

This bike is amazing...the only debate i have is whether or not to bump up to the 120mm fork...currently riding my old reba xx 100mm with no taper or thru axle so i am losing out on stiffness up front.

It's truly so amazing it made you finally post after six years!

And soon to be 20mm even more amazing.

Have fun! Looks terrific. Every now and then I try my SLR again.

Put a 130mm black fork on the little piggie....then you'll be flying.

Cool bike man. What year is that frame? Have you thought about a dropper? How tall are you?
Just so you know, there is a separate thread for TBLTs here:

I believe it is a 2013 frame based on the fact it does not have the internal seat post routing, but I got it new from a bike shop(I traded my 2014 Specialized Epic Expert WC which I rode for a year for it). I will get a KS Lev TI for it (I like the all blacked out look) but the cost of admission is a little steep for now. My experience with the Rockshox Reverb (1st version) and both the Command post and Command post IR has been less than stellar, and I have ridden 18 years without a dropper (2 years with) so I have riding experience without one. Here in Colorado they do come in handy, but they are a headache. Have you heard anything good or bad about the KS I should be aware of? BTW I am 6 ft tall, why do you ask?

I've heard a lot of good things about the KS Lev. One of the top posts out there right now.

I was curious what size guy would fit on a large with a 90 mm stem. I was guessing you were taller, but now that I think about it, the TBLT is not as long as some other bikes these days, so it sounds about right. I was between a medium and a large. I'm 5'9" with long torso and short legs. I was hoping to use a 60 mm stem, but the medium feels a bit short so I upped the stem to a 75. The Large has a nice long front, but standover and wheelbase felt better on the medium.

    TB Upgrade

Took advantage of the sales and upgraded my frame from a TBc L to TB2c XL. (At 6' 1" the L felt small especially when off the saddle. XL is definitely a much better fit.)

Thanks. Need to wash the frame and regrease the pivots and then it's going up for sale. Have a large 2012 Highball C SPX build kit that might be going too. One too many bikes and not enough time to ride them all as much as I would like to.

Anyone got pictures of a blue Tallboy (LTc) with orange (mango) anodized parts? Please post.

Question on behalf of a friend: anyone got a yellow Tallboy LTc frame (size Large) for sale?
