Yeah they are stickers. Santa Cruz doesn't do custom colors on their carbon frames.

DId you get the decals from the shop in Arizona? I forgot their name... It looks good. Not sure about your front fork though, I'm not sure I like it.

Yup! Airpark Bikes in Scottsdale. I am on their race team for next year. The fork is questionable, but I have started to like it.

Just recently picked up a 2nd Hand size medium TBc frame. Coming from a size medium Giant Anthem X29, I felt the bike was a bit too long for me even with a shorter 90mm stem that I had trouble finding.

Have moved my parts from the Anthem over to the Tallboy including the annoying OD2 1.25" upper headset and forks, also swapped the Kashima RP23 shock for the RS RT3 that I preferred. Rest of the bits were custom

Bike weighs 24.64lbs or 11.2kg as it is in the photos

Have only been for 1 ride on the TBc and the bike feels similar, the carbon feels nicer. But the bike just fits me much better than the Anthem and its noticeable. feels a lot shorter; the Anthem felt long on me. The TBc also feels quicker cornering

God I love that color . . . best looking bike in SC's lineup if you ask me.

I have the Specialized Epic Carbon and Tallboy, I really liked the Anthem, are looking for comparative tests.
I love the Tallboy but I think its downside may be the 'shock, I would like to replace the Fox RP23 bost valve with the new Fox Float CTD Remote Shock and insert as the 10mm through axle at the rear.

As far ride qualities, did anything stand out with the anthem compared to your tallboy?

I did swap out my Fox Rp23 Kashima shock from my Tallboy with the Rockshox RT3 from the Anthem. The difference between the 2 shocks is the RP23 has a "Low Velocity/Compression, Medium Rebound" where as the RT3 has a "medium Velocity/compression, low rebound"

Santa Cruz seem to spec all their vpp bikes with "Low Compression RP23's" even their XC bikes, (I have ridden a few different SC bikes), what this shock would do is make the bike's rear suspension feel "plush" which is not always what you want on a XC bike. So swapping the suspension out for the RT3 has given the bike a slightly (but noticeable) firmer suspension platform.

This means to me that my Tallboy rides much the same as my Anthem did, except its a much better fit having a shorter top tube, wheelbase and chainstays. Here's hopping the Tallboy climbs hills as well as the Anthem did (The Anthem was amazing at hill climbing).

    Good job! Internal Routing...

@Vert1... Yes correct - i talk to the SC Tech Boys and drill a hole - Garantie? ... is gone, but who need's a Garantie for a Frame like this. The TB is my 4th Carbon SC - never got a problem.

Well I just pick it up this weekend. I am just torn between taking my bike out and Bow hunting. Probably only one of a few who hunt on here. Bow hunting is over on Friday and I'll be beating the piss out of it this weekend.

Here's my new beastie. Specs are:

Large Alloy frame (Satin Clear) with RP23
    Fox TALAS 120/95 forks
    Hope headset
    Easton Haven UST Magnesium wheels
    2.4" Maxxis Ardent UST front
    2.1" Maxxis Ignitor EXO rear
    XT M785 26/38 crankset 175mm
    XTR SPD pedals
XTR M988 brakes with Goodridge hoses
    XT M780 i-spec shifters
XT M781 shadow med cage RD
    XT M786 FD
    XT M771 11-36 cassette
    HG94 HGX 10sp chain
    Easton Haven carbon bars 711mm
    Easton Haven 85mm stem
    ODI Rogue grips
    Thomson elite setback post
    Selle Italia SLR Flow saddle

Right on 28lb / 12.7kg with pedals. Easy to lighten it up a bit, but I value comfort and strength of components over light weight (plus I can't afford more XX / XTR lol).

Don't think you would lighten it up too much even w/ XTR or XX. Maybe a pound, but it wouldn't make sense financially. That's a killer build and great looking bike.

My black Tallboy AL frame just shipped yesterday!
