Selling my Heckler and buying a new (used) bike, what should I get?

I have a 2002 Heckler and I'm going to buy a new (used) bike. I want more travel and from the advice of others on here, my current frame can't do more than 100mm forks. I mainly ride technical trails but don't do a whole lot of heavy jumping or big drops. I probably want to stick with SC but what frame do I get? I want something light (current bike weighs 25lbs). Do I get a newer frame Heckler a Blur or other? Also, plesae tell me year recommendations. Thanks.

Is your 2002 Heckler the last generation (V5) or the previous (original) model?

seems like a Blur XC or superlight.

Blur XC if you like vpp and dont mind the bearing servicing that is constantly required.

Superlight if you dont mind single pivot like your heckler.

You can find the Heckler5 frames used as well. That sound like your bike.

I believe mine is the original model since I was told that I can't put long(er) travel forks on it.

I looked at the Blur--are they good for all mountain? also, what's vpp and how often do I have to service the bearings?

I thought about doing that because I do like my current bike. I wanted to explore other options in case there's something better suited for my purpose.

    thanks guys.
