Santa Cruz clearance lines - Blur LT $900 whats the catch?

    https://shop.santacruzbicycles.com/f...tion-1533.html

About to press the trigger on this, anyone taken advantage of these offers, any catch?

Also how many revisions of the Blur are they? 2.3 the latest?

Probably no catch. SC is a good company and 26ers are getting harder to move.

No catch at all, it's a blow out sale because the blur LT has been discontinued. They aren't defects, and there is nothing wrong with the frames AT ALL, they have just been discontinued. Pull that trigger and enjoy an amazing frame

Yep, just what others said... No catch, plus you get a five year warranty. I got one last winter and I keep looking on the site for the next deal.

Yup, no catch, except that they sent me a Heckler instead of the Blur LT I ordered. Called customer service and they took care of it, and then sent me some goodies to apologize. Great customer service.

standard tallboy frame -- most recent gen with the 142x12 dropout-- is $1412 at competitive cyclist, but I haven't seen the LT on clearance yet.

of course, I'd take the Blur LT2 over the TBLT anyway.

The main catch is that nobody's sharing the love to the SC worldwide riders.
The discontinued models do not appear on the SC UK website, but are still advertised at full retail (which is 2499 or $3996 for the LTc)
Love the bikes, don't love the UK distrubutor.
    Moan over.

Yeah, that does suck. On the North American sore it states that clearance frames are only sold in the U.S. and Canada. Bummer.

I missed out on the XL's, should have pulled the trigger when I had a chance! They still have Blurs in medium and large.

Like previous posts theres no catch at all. I pulled the trigger on one of the carbon LT's and cant wait to get it together to ride it. These are brand new frames with the full 5 year warrenty. I couldnt justify passing up VPP carbon frame for 1500 bucks you simply can not beat the price, same thing with a al version.

Pulled the trigger! Santacruz UK want 1800 for this frame! I can sell my Heckler frame for 450ish, and transfer all my bits, really cheap upgrade!

even with import costs its 1000 saving!

First stage of the journey complete. A question, whats the fastest way to double check the size of frame that turns up before my bro forwards it onto the UK for shipping? Does it list it anywhere on the frame?

Capoz77, there will be a sticker either on the seat tube or the bottom side of the bottom bracket with the size. Enjoy your frame.

ok its arrived, it a huge well packed stapled box, with the invoice on the outside confirmed the spec etc.

Question, do I get bro to open it to check contents? box is pristine etc, and very well sealed with the staples, once opened it would have to be taped which would be no where near as secure for the long journey to the UK

It looks like your bro did a good job packing the frame. Those sheets of foam are nice. Enjoy your new Blur!

    cheers happyriding!

Hey Saddle pimp, I had this shipped to California, and posted across to the UK by my brother. You do need a US credit/debit card to pay.

I know of a US bike shop that will ship these across to UK etc, pm me for more details.
