Santa Cruz Bronson C Frame Kit Availability?

Anyone know when the frame only option will be available? Specifically looking for a medium tennis ball yellow frame.

A good shop will get one for your right now . . . they'll just buy the complete, strip it and sell you the frame.
Alcohol may lead nowhere, but it sure is the scenic route!

Problem is, Santa Cruz don't have stock of many frames - they come in in batches and most are already spoken for. I'm sure over the next couple of months they will start to get on top of the availability issues.
This was the same way it seemed to work for the TBLT last year as well

Katana and The #1 Dude are correct. Availability, frame or complete bike, is next to zero. SC hugely underestimated demand. One can only hope they can ramp up and catch up!

Yeah, I heard they are completely sold out until the projected release of 2014 models in September some time. I had to call shops to find a Bronson and the closest was 120 miles away. Awesome bike though!

Whew. I pulled the trigger just in time. Mine will be ready at my LBS on tues. funny. The delay was actually the XX1 components not the frame.

I ordered 2 months ago at Cambria. Was told mid July. Just called and they told me late August. Annoyed to say the least. Hope something better gets released before then, so I can get some better customer service.

    Interesting...

Ordered my Bronson C small at LBS on 6/20. They emailed earlier this week to let me know my bike had shipped! Hoping it'll be ready sometime next week.
I have a black belt in MS Paint.

Word to the wise, I've been burned enough times by CBO when ordering things that I nolonger even try. I live in SLO and if they don't have a part in stock, I go somewhere else to get it. Not saying this is the case for your frame, but I just don't order through them anymore.

What is a good place to order a frame from? I want to get one out of state so I dont have to pay sales tax on it.

Muahaha! Ordered through LBS on 6/20, picked it up yesterday, 7/19

The LBS gave me a great price on the bike and worked with me to swap components to get the bike to where I wanted it. Reading around here it sounds like that's what any good shop will do but my previous experiences while shopping for a StumpJumper were very different.

This is a Bronson Carbon R AM with XT Shadow Plus rear derailleur, Shimano XT brakeset, and Easton Havoc 750mm bar. I opted for an 80mm stem since I'm 5'6" and went for a small but I think I'll shorten it up. Other than that, I have an e*thirteen chain guide and Cytoe protector to install and I'm good to go!

The tennis yellow has a good bit of green in it. Looks totally wicked!

    Hi SManz,

Just wondering I'm going to get a Bronson too so i'm 5'4" and wondering on your height for the size you are buying ?

I demoed a medium last week in Oregon but I live and ride the Nth Shore of Vancouver,Canada.
The medium felt good but a little big and i'm thinking the small would be better suited to my area and terrain, so just wondering if you demoed the medium & or small ?

    Thx

    Andy

I got a small and I'm 5'6", 150lbs. I'm experimenting with seat positions and stem lengths right now, trying to get the leg position to more closely match the StumpJumper I have. I demoed a small and loved it so thats what I went with but unfortunately didn't have time to demo the medium.

When I was shopping for my StumpJumper I test rode a medium on the trail and then rode a small at the shop. The difference was huge and I immediately felt like I had more control on the small. I definitely don't regret going small with the SJ.

Looks like you're fitted for a small on the Santa Cruz sizing charts. I'm one inch into the medium on their scale but I went with my experience from the demo day instead of the chart.

Gave up trying to find a frame and put a deposit on a full bike, looking forward to getting to ride it in a month or so!
