I won't lie, wish there was more clearance at the bb. There is 1/4"so I hope that is enough. The clearance at the seat stays is fine. we will see

Seems that there's no way that the wider Ardent 27.5X2.40 would have enough clearance. Too bad.
I love the smell of the TF2 chain lube in the morning.

Need some help: I am looking for a fork for my new 2013 Tennis ball Yellow Chameleon.

*RockShox Revelation RLT Dual Position Solo Air 150mm tapered
*Rockshox Reba RLT Solo Air 120mm Fork tapered
*Fox Suspension 32 Float FIT RLC 120mm - Tapered Forks 2012

What would you recommend? All are black, 15mm, tapered and all cost about 360 euros

How's that ride? My MK2 Chameleon rode pretty tall (read looped out easily on steep climbs) with a 140mm fork and proper bottom bracket height. Cant imagine the slacker new ones with a taller bottom bracket after the conversion would ride well at all. Looks like you're sitting on a 14+" static bottom bracket height, cant feel so good cornering . . .

    Re: Post your lizards. (Chameleon)

Just measured the bb and it is right at 13 inches. With the 26 inch wheels it was to low for me. So it was either go to a 140 or try 650s. If it does not ride well it will be changed again... it's a Cameleon!

Just picked up a reverb for this bike, my first dropper post.

Any one running the 2013 Chameleon as a 650B with a 150mm fork? My buddy just bought a Bronson and is selling me his F34 for dirt cheap and Ive always wanted an AM hard tail and have had my eye on the Chameleon for some time now. How would you say it rides? Would I be better off with a specific 650B frame?

I'm pretty happy with my Easton Haven stem and bars on my Chameleon. I've got a LEV seatpost on mine now, but used to also have a Easton Haven seatpost. Depending on the riding you do, you might want to plan on having a dropper post. That made a huge difference when I do All-Mtn/ single track riding on the Chameleon.

The Hans Dampf are going to be a tight fit but those are great tires that inspire lots of confidence. I have those on the Cannondale.

Looks like a great start. Make sure to post pictures when it's finished.

Would love to know the tire size on the back as that's the rubber I would use, most likely.

    Hi,
What is ur height and what is the frame size of this Mk4?

I am 5' 8" riding L size Mk4 and don't "feel" it is the right size for me. In photo, that seatpost height is at my usual XC setup.

Not wanting to sound ungrateful, but the settings of post sucks a bit... it's not in chronological order been following your post and haven't converted yet to 650B, I have the wheelset from my Nickel will try them soon... =)

Saddle pimp, change the Display setting at the top of the page, right under the pull down menu for the sub forums, to "Linear". The forum posts will appear in chronological order then.
