    Nomad C pivot coming loose

    Hi everyone,

After two years of good and reliable use I have ditched my aluminum Nomad Mk2 for a Nomad C a couple of months ago.
On the aluminum frame I never had any issues with the pivots. Every now and then I checked and/or adjusted play, pressed some fresh grease in and that was about it. On the carbon frame on the other hand the pivots seems to come undone after pretty much every single ride.
Am I the only with this problem? And if not is there a solution for this? Needless to say, I am getting rather annoyed by it.

I had some similar issues at first as well with mine coming loose. I pulled the pivots, and put some blue loctite on the threaded end of each pivot. I also put a little bit around the other flange on the other side of the pivots in hopes that it would kind of grab and set a bit better. You can then grease the collet and even throw a little loctite on the bolt that goes in to keep everything in place. So far this has worked great for me and i've had no issues. I'm sure some of these guys may have alternative solutions for you too. Good luck.

+1. I had the same problem on a Tallboy C. It came from the factory with no loctite, despite SC's rebuild instructions saying to use it.

Pull the outer bolts and the inner axles, clean/regrease, blue loctite on the threads of both, re-install to SC torque spec.

Blue loctite works like a charm.

Sounds good. I thought the locking collet is supposed to keep the pivot in place, so I did not put any thread locker on the pivots, only the bolt that tightens the collet.
    Thanks for all the answers.
