    New Heckler

Now with the Butcher officially gone, does anybody knows if there is a new heckler coming? Im not expecting great changes, probably just tapered and slacker HT and ICSG mounts.

I hope so. I might just have to buy a new frame if they added a tapered headtube, slacker geo, lower bb, and ICSG mounts. If they offered the custom paint option, I'd be crawling to the wife...

Maybe they will add a swing link to drive the shock. Why would a bike company carry 2 single pivots in their bike lineup with almost the same geo.? Why would they have clearance sale of both models right before interbike? Why would they discontinue the superior model? Will the Butcher return as a redesigned Heckler...

Yes, it's going to be called the FPP, for Floating Pivot Point.

Not that I doubt you, but what is your source?

Are they going to have a surprise at interbike?

I'm surprised it took that long for someone to see that. I was just joking. I think they should have replaced the Heckler with the APP design.

Looks like only a tapered headtube is coming. Same geo, no ISCG mounts. New Heckler is on the website.

Love that dark Grey color! is that going to be an option for 2013?

Ugh, if only the heckler had 1 degree slacker HA! I feel like the type of dude that would buy a heckler would want slacker. maybe it's as steep as it is to differentiate from nomad? although now that the Heck has a tapered headtube one can run an angleset to decrease the HA

also, did I read correctly that the DAM package has 15mm front hub for 15mm TA? previous models were QR only I believe.

Head tube still 1 1/8" according to SC site . So no changes. Oh well, 160mm fork will have to do to change geo

Look in the Catalog link and the Gallery.

    Frame is also lighter.

    Yes is Slacker. 67.5 headtube.....
shorter Head tube (on the Large).
    slightly higher BB.
    1 inch lower stand over.
3/4 inch more on the wheelbase.

Thanks for the clarification, I was going off the geo listed under Overview and the FAQ, both which haven't been updated.

I find it odd how the new version is slacker, longer wheelbase and BB height increased from 13.5 to 13.8.

Good changes if you don't have one, but not enough to replace my '08 yet

I don't know about ya'll, but the changes to the Heckler seem perfect. I know when I had my Heckler I short shocked it and ran a guide with 1x drive-train. If I could afford to have another "play" bike, this would be it. With a shorter shock and a little less travel fork this would be an alloy single-pivot version of the TRC.

    Cheers,

In the FAQ section they are still saying no ISCG mounts and you'll need to use a BB adapter...where did you see this?

The FAQ sections have not been updated. Look in the PDF Catalog....all of those are updated.
