New question here. Need Tech advice - 06 VP Free

I have some play in the lower pivot area.
However, I'm not so sure it's the bearings.
The play seems to be coming from the lowest pivot area (connecting to the black "link").

    A couple of questions:

    1. Has anyone ever had to replace the "black link" due to excessive wear?
    2. Does this sound like a bearing issue? I've read that this pivot & bearing are usually the first to go.

I'm ordering pivots this week, and will be changing them.
I'm just concerned that it may not solve the problem.
I'll also email SC directly for their thoughts....
    Any comments??

    specs:
December 2006 VP Free purchase - currently in its 2nd season of shuttle riding.
All pivots and bearings are original

    Yep, it's the lower link.
    Call SC and order one.
    They are around $32/shipped.

do you think a new pro pack is needed?
I pulled a couple of the pivots and they looked ok.
Maybe I'll just order them to have on hand.....
thanks for the info. I have an email into SC already to see what they say.

    No, just buy the link.

I went ahead and bought the propack since SC warrantied the link. I figure 2 seasons of hard shuttling is enough time on the original bearings.
