My lady has had a hard year- after being diagnosed with stage 3 cancer she had to endure a major surgery, and some gnarly chemo to highlight a few of the fun things for the season. She is a strong girl (she has won the Darkhorse 40, and was local champ in the local NJ/NY series for sport class). And while she is not out of the woods, she is back in the woods riding the techy stuff again.
In order to help her get back to the trails I built her up a bike that would help with the jarring of the technical east coast trails- what started out as a project that I was going to use parts lying around the house turned in to a really nice light long travel XC sled.
One part chainlove (the frame), one part stuff around the house and one part ebay (xt kit): great project bike.
I have swung a leg over the bike and I have to say I am really impressed- great bike. I understand why people rave about the BLT.
She loves it- and I know it has helped her get back to doing what she loves best: riding the techy singletrack in the woods with her friends.
