Mid-travel SC owners, what crank length do you use?

I was just wondering what crank length is preferred by all the mid-travel full suspension Santa Cruz owners... Superlights, Hecklers, Blur LT TR TRc, Nomads, Butchers and Nickel owners.... bikes with around, but not restricted to, 125mm to 160mm of travel.

What crank length do you prefer?

I currently have 170mm cranks on all my bikes, Driver 8, Karate Monkey, and now the Nickel140.

Discussing this with a friend, who owns a Blur TRc, he prefers and uses 175mm cranks.

    Lets get a consensus going.

I can't vote in your poll with my 165mm crank arms on a TRc

I did not realize people ran 165mm cranks on this type of bike. Thanks for the input.

I ride 175mm crank arms on all my bikes: my Blur, road bike, cx bike, etc. It's because of my leg length and that 170 and 175 are your only choice for many cranksets.

The Blur classic has a pretty low BB but I don't care. I pedal around the clearance issue no problem.

Crank length is more of a inseam based decision, I'm 6'3" with 36" inseam so I run 180mm. There are some calculators out there that help determine crank length based on inseam.

Unfortunately I am unable to edit the poll and add more options. Sorry for not including the 165mm and 180mm crank lengths, but please add your data anyways.

I supposed height and inseam would be informative, too.

I'm 5'-9" with a 31.5" inseam. I seem to be right on the boarder between 170 and 175, based on various calculation methods. 172.5mm is probably what I should have.

I'm using 170mm on myTRc and 175mm on my NomadC, I really don't notice much difference in the crankset length when I swap bikes
