Are these bolt on options similar to the Chris King Fun Bolts or ??? How is it different from running the DT Swiss DWS or whatever it's called. Linky please?

I'm not sure how that's better than running the DT thing then since we still have the open bottom of our QR rear triangle.

Not saying it's better or worse than anything. I bought the wheels used and the rear is a 135x12 so I need a conversion axle to be able to run them. I don't see an issue with the conversion axle. Am I missing something?

Oh, lol. Your Nomadc is amazing. Not sure how much longer I can resist the carbon frames. I was thinking at the end of next season to go from my V-10.3 to the carbon model. I may have to do the same for the Mad.

Why resist? BTW, just "invested" in Carbon Havoc DH bars for it. They had them for $90 at the local shop and I couldn't say no.

My wallet is resisting, lol. That's a really nice bar, they feel great. I've been liking the SIXC bar on mine.

Just got some M810 Saint brakes - going to swap the levers for new M988 XTR. Can't wait. Also Thomson stem and possibly Renthal FatBars. Pictures to come.

A flatbar on a Nomad is ok?

I am 5'10, pulling a trigger on a medium nomad, with float 160mm fork and 8inches of steerer tube. Would use a 50mm stem and at least 5 or 10mm of spacer below. Is it okay to use a sunline 762mm flatbar or would it look like a joke?=)

Nice looking trails! You might want to cut up an old tube and make a mud flap so you don't get so much mud spray on your face If you are ever in Bellingham, send me a PM and I'll take you riding.

I like the burley headset on your bike socalMX - I'm not really a fan of the low profile options that is the trend these days. BTW, how are you liking the VPP2?

Thanks! Loving the VPP2... It feels alot snappier and pedals better. My friend had a poorly setup version I was able to compare side x side when I had my 08 which is why I liked my 08 so much better...The coil shock brought it to life for me! On my 08 I ran a 500lb spring and tried it on this frame and wasnt fully pleased so I dropped to a 450 and its much better! Im still debating on the Push link? I think I solved it with a softer spring. If I go with the Push im sure I will need to go back to the 500lb?
