Picked my new Heckler up yesterday

I picked my new Heckler up yesterday. It looks fantastic!! Hopefully will get the chance to ride it later today / tomorrow morning. I had a Nomad before this, but just felt that it was a little too much for what i do most of the time, but ideal for the one weekend every year when we go to Les Gets / Morzine in the French Alps. I think the Heckler will be much more suitable for day to day duties, but will also cope with the lift assisted trips.

    Anyway, here's the spec:
    Large frame in PC white
    Fox RP23
    Fox Vanilla 36 RC2
Mainly XT throughout, but with splashes of XTR
Avid Juicy 7 ( I had Codes on the Nomad so I'm interested to see how the Juicy's perform)
Halo Freedom wheels with Panaracer Rampage tyres
Maverick Speedball, not fitted in the photo
    Easton DH carbon bar
    Thompson 90mm stem.

I'll post agin when i've had a ride

    for prosterity

Absolutely loving the new Heckler it's a hard decision whether to ride my 4X which loves singletrack or wheel out the Heckler which can be run over the rough a lot harder....but still rail singletrack too.......fastest time though for my trail is still owned by the 4X.

I'm trying my best though to beat it with the Heckler

    Adiheckler,
You from Malaysia and ride Mt. Kiara?

I ride on Saturday with either Pat Brundson or Stanley's group. Hope to see you one of these days.

I'm riding a ano blue BXC. No jumps for this uncle, just hardcore XC.

    Regards,
    Uncle Mui

    Neil,

You will need a 73mm BB for the newest generation Heckler ('07+).

Do all the white Hecklers come with chainstay protectors now? Looks like they're on almost all the white ones posted.

Hi guys. Are you satisfied with your Heckler's suspension performance? I awaited a bit more comfort (OK, much more comfort) compared to the Reign (for example). This is my first fullsuspension bike. I run a FOX RP 23 shock wich is set up according to manual. I also noticed I often use full travel. What do you think?

    Ciao tutti,
the rim are Sun Ringle Singletrack Camo rims (they are green camo and winter camo in grey color). My bikeshop unmount these rim from whole wheel, they use to sell them with deore hub. So the wheels have been unmount then after rebuild with DT swiss spoke and Hope hub

You can find these wheel here : http://www.mtbikers.com/StoreFront/p...=P&brandId=118

How tall are you and what size heckler are you going for in the 08 model? I'm hoping to order on in the next week or so and I"m leaning towards a size large. I'm 5'10, 175lbs. I rode an 07 large and it felt ok just thought I would get some more opinions. Thanks and awesome pics of all the hecks

I ride a 07 Heckler 5, size L. I am 184 cm tall and I my weight is 73-75 kg without camelbag and other stuff. I think L size is perfect for me.
