I didn't know how much of this new bike would make me more enjoyable in the trail, but it makes me smile every time I bike, it's so fun!
When I started biking last year I got a Specialized Stump Jumper, it's a nice bike I still like it but I'm kinda scared coming down the hill with it. This is no crazy jump or anything, but just got me scared.
Later on I got to try on an older Nomad model in the trail and boy, it was very nice. The whole bike makes the ride very stable and I gained a lot of confidence riding around the trail.
Then I broke down and got a new Nomad Carbon, it was a demo bike so I got it for fairly decent good deal, I changed the front fork to Fox 36 Float 180. This front frok is beyond amzing, it can pick up any bumps and logs that I couldn't think I could ride over, with this new bike, no problem at all.
I tried going uphill with this bike, and I thought the longer front travel would have made it harder, but I found it I could actually go up the hill better than with my Stump Jumper. One thing I need to get used to would be my handle bar, it's like 2 inches wider than with the Stump Jumper, and it gives better stability and going around trail is easier, one problem is I do tend to hit the trees more often
