fox 36 float R or rs revelation team

i have a fox 36 float R 160mm on my heckler. it runs fine but i want to replace it with a revelation team 150mm travel. the axle to crown of the revelation is 530mm. the fox is 550mm. wanted a bit more standover clearance, lockout, u-turn, dual air. it is also lighter.

but i am torn by the 32mm stanchions and 10mm less travel. should i replace my floats? i think both are great forks. although heckler built bikes come with 150mm revelations, i just wanted to know if there would be a big downside with regards to siffness/stability/handling.. thanks

I think it all depends on what your riding style is, your weight and the places where you ride. I have a Revelation in a BLTc and it is OK for my riding style but the bike feels a little nervous in rock gardens, i am 200lbs and think this is not helping the fork either...
in my case i was thinking of buying a FOX 36 160 and install the Revelation in my girlfriendīs bike, but i am not sure if the improvement in the ride justify the investment...

yeah that's what i thought too when it's time to go down steep descents. the revelation would bring the front end down about 20mm which would fix the wheelie-ing when going up, especially with the u-turn. drops i do are just 3-4 feet. nothing big so the revelation would suit me fine. i guess i would keep my float but still buy the revelation. it would be nice to have an extra fork lying around..
