    DT 240s 135 to 142

I have a 2013 TBc on order & getting wheels ready.

Ordered a 135 to 142 x-12 w/ conversion kit (end caps, axle, 12mm skewer) for a 5-6 yr old 240s 6 bolt rear hub. Got this DT Swiss X-12 System 142mm Conversion Kit - Wheelbuilder.com which I believe is part HWYXXX0002877C from DT Swiss info http://www.dtswiss.com/Resources/Ima..._Kit_Style.pdf .

The skewer is threaded on opposite side of the handle (drive side). No nut for the end like a 10mm I have on another bike.

So I'm cornfused, does the frame have a threaded screw in for the skewer OR do I get a special derailleur hanger OR am I skewered & need another kit & skewer option?

Appreciate your help as I'm new to this crazy 142 world.

The TB has a screw-through rear axle, so the frame will be threaded. Also, my Blur TRc frame came with a DT Swiss thru-axle, so your bike probably will have that as well.

    According to BTI:

    BTI part #: DT-0545
    vendor part #: HWYXXX0002877C
    EAN: 7613052075877
    converts to: 12x142mm T-A (X-12)
    stock configuration: <July 2010 10x135mm Q/R
    hub/wheel model: rear (IS/CL): 240s,440FR / 1540,1750,2350

Kits can also be used for replacement axle caps if needed

Most kits include a pair of adapters only (bolt, axle, and quick release available separately)
DT-0534 include a pair of adapters and one hub axle
DT-0545 include a pair of adapters and one hub axle and are compatible with 240s hubs/wheels produced prior to July of 2010 (chrome-style logo sticker)
DT-0547 include end caps only and are compatible with 240s hubs/wheels produced after July of 2010 (white logo sticker)
For 12x157mm conversion use DT-0547 (12x142mm conversion endcaps)
IS: 6-bolt / 44mm BCD International Standard, CL: 35mm spline CenterLock
    Q/R: quick-release, T-A: thru-axle, T-B: thru-bolt

So basically you have to swap out the end caps and axle on the older 240 hubs. The frame will still come with the threaded axle/skewer.
I resolve to constantly assert my honest opinion on anything and everything - whether it is requested or not.
