Does the Superlight 29 have less chain slap?

    Because of the chainstay configuration?

I've only seen other riders go down rocky trails on this bike. They seem to just glide along without making any noise. So the first thing I notice is that the chainstay is ABOVE the chain!

Does it help? Any "reduction of chain slap?" Anybody with experience comparing this to other chain-slap reduction methods?

Not sure if any other bike has this configuration.

There is less chainslap because of the frame design, also I'm running the Shadow Plus derailleur which reduces chainslap as well.

You get chain slap back towards the drop out. It is a lot less than other frame designs....but it is still there.
I crashed hard enough on my Tallboy to break my leg,
The carbon is way more durable than most people.

I was thinking if I were ever to get a full suspension mtn bike, it would definitely have to be a new level of fun, and reducing chain slap is definitely one huge improvement.

So if "frame design" means the whole single pivot geometry flexing properly or something, what other bike brands or FS models are just as good or even better, if only for chain slap? This is another way for me to understand it.

it's still a slapper, but not too bad. Luckily, the triangle flex will keep your mind off of it

No chain slap on my SL 29'er. It does come with a slap pad though, for what it's worth.
