    DHX or 5th coil?

I have two questions I hope somebody can answer for me

    1. What advantage does the DHX coil offer over the 5th coil and

    2. Does SC now ship the 5th in the 2.25 stroke?

Is it on the Nomad, Heckler, Bullit?

1- BIG advantage I would see of the DHX is that Push will offer a custom tuning soon if not already.
2- I think the "platform" on the DHX can be adjusted to be lighter than on the 5th, so for a bike like the Nomad (VPP suspension) which doesn't need platform this is also a BIG advantage for small bump compliance. On the Heckler/Bullit it's been reported that the 5th is great.

I have ridden both on the heckler. Main difference is that the 5th is more platform and sluggish. The dhx is more springy and feels lighter on the platform side. So it depends what you are looking for. The dhx seems more lively and does have a bit more pop off of jumps. The 5th feels sluggish and glued to the ground. I like both shocks for different reasons.

I would probably go dhx if I were to do it again, just because it seems the market is swaying towards fox and the bike would have better resale with the dhx. I usually turn my frames over annually, so resale is important to me.
