    Bronson shipping delays??

Curious how long it's taking everyone to get their Bronsons? Ordered mine 1st week of July from shop in NH and latest ETA is mid October. Ordered Large Carbon Black frame and has been delayed couple times already.

I had a feeling that was going to happen. My shop told me in June/July that I could order a Bronson and have it mid-September. I decided to drive 150 miles each way to find one at a shop on the floor. I couldn't imagine the wait, hope you guys get your bikes quick. You'll love em!!

In my case, I had a L aluminum Bronson. Liked it so much (and it was ever-so-slightly too small) that I ordered an XL carbon without shock.

Unfortunately, my alu frame sold faster than expected so my Blindside has become my daily driver. Was in the shop yesterday and was told still mid-October.

How much of a discount did you get for no shock? Just wondering cause I may buy a Solo and want to put a DBAcs on it. Didn't know you could order without a shock, so wondering which would be cheaper, Frame no shock and buy the DBAcs of Frame with shock, sell take off and buy DBAcs

I'm on my second Santa Cruz in 2 years. Both bikes were 60-90 days later then what Santa Cruz said. Sorry guys. Waiting sucks. Just being honest.

My shop told me two weeks ago that it'd be here by 10/10. XL Bronson C Yellow frame only. Called them yesterday to see if we were still on track and they said Santa Cruz no longer knew. Anyone from this batch heard anything yet?

Just contacted my shop today and they were going to check with SC. Though I've been having a blast on my SS, I'm ready for my squishy bike.

I paid in full in late August and nothing yet. If Rage comes through with a large Mach 6, I'm probably going to cancel my order. Bummed, but it's prime riding weather here in AZ.

Finally received my Bronson C last week after 4 months wait. Happy to report that I couldn't be any happier with my decision minus hit on bank account. Loved my '05 BLT but it was beat beyond its years. No more flex anywhere, torsionally stiff where needed, geometry was instantly comfortable. Killer climbing and oh so confident on the downhills. Was torn between the carbon BLT and TB LT and then Bronson was released which seemed the perfect balance. Wheel size doesn't take away from agility but improved rolling resistance over objects definitely noticeable. Amazing what 6 years difference in technology delivers!! 3rd SC and best one yet!!!

I ordered my Lg Yellow, S.C. Bronson C from InCycle R.C. Aug. 13 and was told mid October delivery. On October 15 They called Santa Cruz who said it would ship in 4 days. Bike actually arrived October 18, Surprise!! I picked it up on the 19th and was riding a couple of hours later.
InCycle and Santa Cruz hit their marks and delivered on time.
Make sure your shop is actually calling Santa Cruz. InCycle seemed to be able to get an answer whenever they called.

Ordered Bronson early June, arrived last week (UK). Apparently XL carbons had extra delays due to issue in production line (probably an excuse). I was SICK of waiting and was about to cancel....but...man this bike is good. Just be patient, it is so worth the wait....oh and for those who have not ridden SC before, go a size larger than normal

See I would not size up from a medium at all.

I have had medium hecklers, blur lt2's, and a Bronson and a large ltc and the medium is always best. Way more flickable and poppy and I ride medium bikes in all brands. Cotic, orange, etc ect.

Good God Blatant , I have a neighbor that just ordered the carbon XL Bronson frame from Competitive cyclists and got it in three days for 2750 ,
I just called them and Mike said they have plenty of them any way you would want to order one .

I tell you dealing with any bike shop is just crazy , its so much easier to just let your fingers do the walking and avoid the middle man !!

So please do not buy something aluminum and goofy , just call Mike and get what you really want, ....The Bronson !!!

On that note, I just spoke to Competitive Cyclist and they will sell the Bronson C frame with Kashima shock for $2700, free shipping and no tax. If I wasn't getting a significantly better deal through my LBS I'd have gone that route today as my LBS still can't tell me when mine will ship.

Blatant is in another thread talking about a Turner burner he just bought. So he sold an aluminum Bronson, waited almost 3 months for a carbon bike, cancelled order on carbon bronson to buy yet another aluminum Turner? Am I missing something? Why would he do that?

He changed for size, not aluminum/carbon.

Especially since "Competition Cyclists" had all the Bronsons the whole time .

Waiting for a bike shop is just a pain in the ass, I never understood why a guy would pay to have a shop use your money for 3 months when you could just have it delivered in 2 days from the net , build it the way you want and be done with it .

SC does not care about these little bike shops , they care about the big internet dealers , you actually have a better warranty and faster service and or return if you needed to do so and you don't have to screw with some kid attitude at a small shop .

I know this is harsh , but if a shop wants to stay in business they need to do better than their doing .

I like Bill at Adventure , but he and the shop have ran me off twice now with there attitude and their just not giving a shit about a customer .

So I just buy off the net and get it done and do not screw with shops !

Kel: I mostly agree with you and suspect you're correct in regards to the big shops getting inventory first. I was in a situation where I got an incredible price on a Bronson-C frame without shock, since I have a CCDB-A sitting on the shelf here to use.

I just couldn't get the frame in the what I thought was a reasonable time period, so I went with something else.

Rage happened to have the proper size Burner frame on the floor at a killer price, bought it last Saturday and was riding Sunday with the custom build kit I had waiting for the Bronson. And it gave me an opportunity to support a small local business that I respect and appreciate, and whose owners/employees have become friends.

Not taking anything away from the Bronson. The alu frame I had, though it was ever-so-slightly too small, was absolutely incredible. So's the Burner. We're fortunate to live in times where it's hard to find a truly bad bike.

I am glad you got a bike , and you are correct it is hard to get a bad bike these days, it just kills me to see guys get held up at some of these shops waiting for a bike when there is one on the net ( deal or no deal its not worth it waiting ).

I can't wait to see your burner , I know you will love it

They care about strong dealers whether they are internet dealers or traditional shops. There are shops out there that totally hold their own (or better) against the "big internet dealers".

Frame only ordered early September; seems it will be January now before I get it! This 650b supply thing is killing me - I tried to buy a Sight earlier and was told Norco is sold out for the year!

I'm guessing you have one already. Waiting for 3 months and then being told you have to wait longer will drive some nuts. I knew it would get delayed.
