    Blur XC - weight limits

Interested in the Blur XC, does Santa Cruz have any weight limits on this bike? Is a 190 lb rider too heavy? I don't do drops much, but I would like to take it on some rougher trails.

You should be fine, but the LT is reinforced for longer travel, a requisite for rougher trails. You don't need to run the maximum length 150mm fork.

I thought I was told by my LBS shop that the XC had a 200 lb. weight limit. However, when you look at the set up chart on SC website for the bike they show weights up to 240 lbs. Give SC and a call and find out.

    Hello,
I was in this case before buying my BLT. My weight is 240 lbs. SC told me I should get the BLT.
Here is the answer they gave me :
There is not a specified weightlimit for our new Blur-XC model, but even for
220lb riders, the Blur XC is probably going to feel a little flexy, due to
the ultra light tubeset. I would definitely recommend the Blur-LT model.

Thanks again, and let me know if you have any other questions.
