    Anyone Racing with Blur XCc?

    Hi all,

I'm possibly in the market for Blur XCc frame, to build it as my racing weapon. Got some great review from this site.
Some will say that this will outdated or gone,...but let's set aside that, I just want to get more info regarding this bike's performance for racing.

    Please advise

Yeah Josh does pretty well on his. But if you're looking for the Joe Blow racers do a search(have you even??.....) for Hurricane Jeff or FINFAL posts on there's. Some others on here are running them I'm sure.
Wait, who did he tell you that?....

Had one for 2 years. Miss it lots. Awesome bike. If they do a 650 version with steeper seat tube I'll be getting another. Only sold it because I couldn't get it set up in a less eficient, stiffer AM kinda way that I wanted (lots of BMX background so stiffer for faster bigger stuff). For race application you CAN'T beat it. Climbing anything bumpy or rocky was light years faster than a hardtail and the same weight. Unless it was super smooth with good traction I can't think of any bike that climbed that good. Same goes for rough single track.

I know it was an issue on the TRc, but I haven't heard of any disbonding issues with the XCc frame. Rock solid IMHO. Agree with Grizzy - faster than a hardtail on all but the smoothest trails.

3 pages of jibber-jabber between rivals and I didn't see anything on damages specific to the XCc.

    Yup......plus with a 5 year warranty....shouldn't be a problem.
I crashed hard enough on my Tallboy to break my leg,
The carbon is way more durable than most people.

Are you buying a NEW frame with warranty? I had a 2010 that had the circular crack. This past winter SC gave me a 2013 warranty replacement. Mine could crack every year as long as they replace. It's like getting a new bike without paying for one. If you have a warranty, go for it.

BXCc, was your 2010 frame Blur XCc? How long untill you found circular crack?
And how about the 2013 one's update?

Yes it was a carbon frame and i had only one season on it. I'm not sure how much stronger the new one is but if it does crack, it's not going to make you crash. Most people don't even notice it until they are cleaning the bike. Here is one to look at. You may want to check again, but I have asked this same seller (Santa Cruz) in the past and they said these bikes DO carry the 5 year warranty. Grab one and enjoy.

i have raced a 05 xc in endurance events for years, really a fast bike that descends pretty good for what it is. looking to find a newer carbon to make the 650 race bike out of. mine held up good except for a couple enchilada runs but that's to be expected
Go that way really fast......if anything gets in your way turn.
