Thy are already available......it's called the Superlight 29.

Except for the decals, the frame is te same.

If you buy a complete bike then it is supposed to come with WSD contact points: Grips, bars, saddle. Things that you can already add to a Superlight 29.
I crashed hard enough on my Tallboy to break my leg,
The carbon is way more durable than most people.

    Nope.
I just talked to my local bike shop and he said he was told the release date was mid-July. I didn't ask about the sizing because my wife wil fit a medium perfectly. I was more interested in the "girly" stuff (colors, badging, saddle). I went ahead and orders her the med superlight 29er in medium. They are going to switch out the saddle for me.

I didn't want to wait as it is going to be a suprise gift at the end of the month.

Does it have to be a Juliana? I'm currently looking for my wife, but I'm not sold on single pivots. Was very disappointed that SC stuck with the Juliana for a women's 29er.

The Trance X 29er comes in XS and Specialized has the new Rumor

I've had a Juliana and one of my current bikes is a Giant Anthem X 29er. There is no comparison. The Anthem is a much better bike than the Juliana, oth climbing and descending.

For what it's worth, I'm not bashing Santa Cruz. My other bike is a Santa Cruz Blur TRc and i love it. But the VPP is not at all the same ride as the single pivot of the Juliana.

    True

A single pivot 26er is always going to feel pretty weak when compared to a multi link 29. FWIW, a SP 26" is going to feel pretty weak, regardless.

The M tallboy runs somewhat small and could be an option for women looking for something more serious than a SL29.

Unfortunately not small enough for my wife. I love my Tallboy and it's disappointing that SC is choosing to only offer their lower end bike for women.
