24" wheels on SCB for smaller riders - kids

Has anybody run 24" wheels on a Santa Cruz bike for the smaller crowd? I'd like to get my son onto a cross country bike and somebody said that I could run 24" wheels on a Heckler or possibly a Juliana and then as he grows into the bike upgrade to 26" wheels.
Just wondering if anybody has heard of such a idea or if they have personal experience.

    Thanks,

    Chris

I saw this the other day. Looks like 24's from the pick. Maybe you can give them a call. Good luck.

A small Heckler might be fun with 24" wheels, no experience of it but sounds good, I think the more xc orientated bikes have a longer TT, Heckler is fairly short for the sizes, fitted with an adjustable fork like a Pike.
