Upgrades to Blur and skipping question

Well, it started with a new frame to replace the cracked Classic. I got a replacement BLT and added a new Marzochhi Marathon XC, some Nokon der cables and now I'm thinking about PUSH for the shock (original AVA).

I'm also thinking about new brakes as the original 3 year old HFX9's are not centering as well as before - getting worn. Another poster upgraded to X.0's and Juicy's - do you like them?

Anyone eles have trouble with skipping in the cassette under a load? I have had this issues since I got the classic and have never been able to long term rid myself of it and now it happens on the BLT as well. I've put endless new cables, and now the Nokon's. I've aligned the dropout once and again this weekend but have not tested it since. Am I the only one?
I wonder if is something to do with the XT shifters and XTR Der?
